WellSpring: Building stability in the lives of individuals and families.

WellSpring Ministries was born in the summer of 1998 in Berrien Springs, Michigan, to offer help to people struggling with heartache, fear, dysfunction, and emotional pain. This ministry is a faith venture on the part of the classes and support groups, as well as individual and couple counseling services.

Your Village elders have been in many homes recently and a common theme has emerged: You consistently tell us how much you appreciate the personal visit. That is the encouragement we need as we’ve been planning how, as leaders in a church our size, we can be in many more homes, pray with our Village members and help each one become involved in serving with us!

“The Heart Mouth Connection”

Words have power because they invoke the imagination of the hearer. Your words have power to register new thoughts in the mind of the persons to whom you speak. What are you creating in their mind? By your words you have power to create or destroy. It is part of being made “in the image of God.” The Bible says, “By God’s Word the heaven’s made.” We too have power to create from our words. We create realities that wouldn’t exist had we not opened our mouth to speak, either for ill or for good. What reality are you creating?

When rightly used our words become hope to others. The missionary challenge is to learn words in a new language that invoke new thoughts in the mind of the hearer. Though this is the missionary task, the truth of scripture is that it is not only the missionary task but everyones’.

Village School Matters

  • Kindergarten Open House at the Village School is July 29, 6:00-7:30 p.m. If you’re interested in learning more about the Kindergarten program, this is the night for you! Parents and prospective students may stop in anytime during the Open House to meet with our K teacher, Mrs. Cheryl Finkbeiner, in the Kindergarten classroom. School Principal, Mrs. Baldwin, will also be available to meet with parents and give tours. Walkins are welcome, RSVP’s are appreciated! Call the school office at 473-5121 for more information.
  • Volunteers Needed: The school could use some volunteer help in the following areas: yard-work including weeding and trimming, window washing, and help stripping the gym floor on Wednesday, July 30. If you are able to volunteer, please call the school office for details.
  • There is a great need for tuition assistance at the Village School for the 2014-2015 school year. Would you like to personally assist a student so they can attend our Adventist School? Your gift would be felt for eternity. Call Wendy Baldwin at 473-5121 to donate.
  • The first day of school is Tuesday, August 19! Looking forward to seeing students soon!
